Who we are

The Bound Trials (“the App”) is a private wedding guest application operated by the event hosts. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process when you use The Bound Trials.

What we collect

Account details: name, email, and profile photo if you sign in with Google; or email and a password hash if you register with email. Gameplay data: trial progress, scores, submissions, and cosmetic rewards. Uploads: photos and videos you submit as trial proof, and photos you add to the photo dump, plus related metadata (time, task, account).

How we use Google user data

If you choose Continue with Google, The Bound Trials receives basic Google account profile information (typically your name, email address, and profile image) via Google’s OAuth sign-in. We use that information only to create and identify your guest account inside The Bound Trials so you can play quests and submit photos. We do not use Google sign-in to read your Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, or personal Google Drive. Guests are not asked for Google Drive permission.

Google API Services Limited Use

The Bound Trials’ use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we use other data

We use account and gameplay data to run the event app: sign you in, show the scoreboard and profile, review proofs, award points and rewards, and collect wedding photos for the hosts. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use guest data for advertising.

Where uploads are stored

Proof and photo-dump files are stored in Google Drive controlled by the hosts, and may also be referenced in the App database. Hosts and admins can view submissions in the App. Ask the hosts if you want a specific upload removed where practical.

Sharing

Data is shared only as needed to run The Bound Trials: with hosts/admins, and with service providers that power the App (for example hosting, database, email delivery, and Google for sign-in). Host-managed Drive storage is used for wedding media backup. We do not share guest lists for marketing.

Retention

We keep account and gameplay data for the wedding period and a reasonable time afterward for memories and admin. Media in Drive may be kept as part of the wedding album unless you ask for removal.

Your choices

You can use email/password instead of Google. You can ask hosts to correct your display name or remove uploads/account data where feasible. Some gameplay records may be kept if needed for the scoreboard history of the day.
